Biography

Early Life

Mia met Jeff Colby during their freshman orientation week of college, but due to having a boyfriend at the time, the two didn't have the chance to hook up until after graduation. Mia took a job offer in Philadelphia, however, and Jeff felt they were too young to pursue a long distance relationship. ("You Make Being a Priest Sound Like Something Bad")

Season 3

Mia returns to Atlanta for a friend's bachelorette party where she runs into Jeff at Club Colby. The two reconnect, and Mia learns that Jeff is now married; however, due to Jeff's marriage being a business arrangement, the two begin seeing one another. After Jeff's wife, Alexis, walks in on the two having sex, Mia meets with Alexis who, in an attempt to sabotage Mia's budding relationship with Jeff, gives her an expensive bag and sets her up on a dating app to find rich men, making it seem like she's a gold-digger. Jeff isn't fooled, but Alexis insists he will grow bored of Mia one day and confesses her true romantic feelings for him.
