Grant Alan Show (born February 27, 1962) is an American actor best known for his role on Melrose Place as Jake Hanson, which he played from 1992 to 1997. He also portrayed as Blake Carrington on Dynasty.
Background
In The CW’s new drama “Dynasty,” Grant Show plays Blake Carrington, the handsome, intimidating billionaire businessman who is as charming as he is fierce. Blake hails from a conservative family and is often challenged by his children, Fallon and Steven, as well as his newly minted fiancée, Cristal.
Born in Detroit, Michigan but raised in San Jose, California, Show developed a passion for acting at an early age. He majored in theater arts at UCLA and starred in “Ryan’s Hope” before taking a break to study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.
Show’s television credits include series regular roles on “Devious Maids,” “Melrose Place,” “Satisfaction,” “Swingtown,” “Accidentally on Purpose,” “Private Practice,” “Big Love” and “The Family.” He has recurred on such shows as “Strong Medicine,” “Beautiful People,” “Dirt,” “Six Feet Under” and “Point Pleasant.”
He has guest starred on shows such as “CSI,” “Burn Notice,” “Criminal Minds” “The Exes,” “Arli$$,” “Ed,” and “UC Undercover,”. He has also appeared as Jake Hanson, his character on "Melrose Place", in two other shows of the Beverly Hills 90210 franchise ("Beverly Hills 90210" and "Models Inc.").
Show has also done theater work, playing Terry Malloy in the first-ever stage production of “On The Waterfront,” Doctor Jason Posner in the off-Broadway Pulitzer-winner, “Wit and The Gentleman Caller” and appeared in “The Glass Menagerie” at The Alley Theatre in Houston.
Personal Life
Show married model and actress Pollyanna McIntosh in 2004. They were divorced in 2011.[1] In July 2012, Show became engaged to actress Katherine LaNasa. They married on August 18, 2012. They had a daughter, Eloise McCue Show, on March 25, 2014.[2] Show currently resides in Los Angeles.
