Plot Summary[]

SPOILERS AHEAD

Weeks after Anders' death, acceptance is in short supply. Kirby leaves the hospital in complete denial, falling off the wagon when she tries to model at the Designer Institute Ball. Blake is grateful for Cristal's recovery, but realizes he cannot build Primetime Private Air on the up and up. Adam co-opts Alzheimer's research at the hospital to create a dynasty of his own. Dominique and Jeff advise each other on far-fetched undertakings (hers in promotion; his with tech rival Nolan). Michael and Sam are eaten away by paranoia over Abbott's criminal activities. Fallon breaks down when she confronts her own sense of loss. Kirby finally visits her father's grave. After a heartfelt talk with Anders' spirit, she resolves to enter rehab and pull her life together.[2]

Quotes[]

Hot Tea Atlanta Reporter: Hi. Who are you wearing and what can you tell the Hot Tea Atlanta viewers about the designer?
Dominique: I'm wearing me. This is a custom Dom-Mystique gown, inspired by a design of my mother's.
Hot Tea Atlanta Reporter: A personal story. I love that.
Dominique: Wouldn't we all love to have a designer create something personal just for us? But that's not an option for most people.
Hot Tea Atlanta Reporter: Oh, tell me about it.
Dominique: But I am proof that you don't have to spend a fortune to look like the belle of the ball.

Joseph: Fallon, I know you can do this. I've been aware of how special you are since you could first walk. I'm proud of you, as always. Anders.

Joseph: You know, grief is a useless emotion, Kirby.
Kirby: But I still feel it.
Joseph: There are no merit badges for guilt. I could maybe get you one for moving on and taking care of yourself.
Kirby: So you're not mad?
Joseph: Every time we have an argument, we always come back together again. This would have been the same. You'll always be my daughter. We just ran out of time on this one. Now go live a big, beautiful life. And get yourself a pocketknife.
