"Everything But Facing Reality" is the twelfth episode of the fourth season and the seventy-sixth overall of The CW's Dynasty. It aired on July 30, 2021.

Synopsis[]

I'M STARTING TO THINK YOU MAY NOT BE CRAZY - Dominique plans to launch her new fashion line as she and Alexis once again vie for the same thing, with nothing going as planned for either of them. Meanwhile, as Sam and Culhane continue their business partnership they find themselves running into a very unusual roadblock. Liam's research turns up some interesting facts and he and Fallon devise a plan to find more information but someone seems to be one step ahead of them so they once again turn to Jeff for help. Blake embarks on a new adventure.^[1]

Plot Summary[]

SPOILERS AHEAD

Liam returns to Atlanta obsessed with exposing the insider trading ring connected to his late father and Georgia's Senator North. Blake is distracted from his new airline when he finally learns of Cristal's illness. Dominique pleases Jeff when she turns down a lucrative offer for her fashion line in order to design more affordable clothes. Michael and Sam seem trapped into doing business with mob boss, Leo Abbott. Fallon and Liam infiltrate the senator's fundraiser (disguised as caterers) to obtain data on the securities fraud, but are shut down by North and his staff. Dom and Alexis threaten to reveal each others' personal secrets. Adam is encouraged by Cristal's medical results, even though she collapses. An unrelenting Liam sets a back alley meeting with informants only to be violently abducted by them.^[2]

Cristal: There wasn't anything to tell. I'm trying these experimental treatments, and I didn't want you to worry.

Blake: We should have had a conversation about this. This is life and death, and you completely cut me out. Now might be too late for me to do anything.

Cristal: This is exactly why I didn't tell you. Because you try to take charge and make it all about you.

Blake: How is me trying to save your life a bad thing? Where are you going?

Cristal: I can't talk to you when you're being irrational.

Blake: Oh, I'm sorry. Am I not being rational after finding out my wife is dying?

Cristal: I need to go.

Blake: Sure, you just run away when things get tough, just like always.

Dominique: I wonder how Fallon would react, knowing you've been hiding her half-sibling all these years.

Alexis: She would probably be upset. But not nearly as upset as your children when they find out you're still married and haven't stopped lying to them.

Dominique: I already told you, I made that up to...

Alexis: Yes. To bait me, but I didn't buy that, so I looked into it. And what do you know? You are still married to Mr. Brady Lloyd. And to think, just when you and Jeff were finally getting along, another betrayal.

Dominique: I should have left you in the bottom of that mine.

Alexis: Probably, but you didn't. Which means you better watch who you mess with moving forward. I think we're done here.
