In attendance for her side of the family was her brother, parents, and two Grandmothers. Liz's father served as the minister have becoming ordained for the wedding. There were a total of ten guests at the ceremony and reception. After wearing so many extravagant wedding dresses on Dynasty, Liz opted for a simpler more classic design for her real dress. Their dog Bubba served as a ring bearer, with their other two dogs wore floral collars.[2]
The wedding was initially planned for April 25, 2020, her dog Otis' birthday, and would be held at the St. Regis in Atlanta including over 250 guests. It had to be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. While on The Zach Sang Show, Liz confirmed that she would not be changing her last name from Gillies to Corcoran - at least not professionally.
