Elizabeth "Liz" Gillies is an actress, who played the lead on The CW's Dynasty, Fallon Carrington, as well as Alexis Carrington for three episodes in the second season.

Gillies penned "More Than Me" with her husband, Michael Corcoran, to perform in-character in an episode of the fourth season. She made her directorial debut in the same season and later directed an episode of the fifth and final season.

After playing the role of Lucy in a regional production of the musical comedy “13,” Gillies was cast in the same role for the comedy's Broadway debut. She starred in the Broadway musical for four months alongside her “Victorious” co-star Ariana Grande. Her other stage credits include “American Girl Revue,” “Annie,” “Charlie Brown,” “Once This Island,” “Sweet Charity” and “Into The Woods.” She is now most notably known for her scene-stealing role as Jade on the popular show “Victorious.”

On the big screen, Gillies was seen in the comedy “Vacation.” She was also a background vocalist in the animated film “Trolls.”

Prior to Dynasty, Gillies had most recently starred opposite Denis Leary in two seasons of “Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll.” In it, she plays Leary's daughter, Gigi Rock.

In The CW's new drama "Dynasty", Elizabeth Gillies portrays Fallon Carrington, the gorgeous, ambitious daughter of billionaire Blake Carrington, who is determined to make a name for herself... at any cost. In its second season, Elizabeth took over the role of the reconstructed Alexis Carrington after her co star Nicollette Sheridan departed the show, she appeared as Alexis in 3 episodes.

Following the end of Dynasty, Gillies starred in the movie "Spread", in which she plays an ambitious journalist. She has also released music, including a collaborative album with Seth MacFarlane, "We Wish You The Merriest", which she has performed at multiple venues, including the Kennedy Centre.

In 2025, she was announced to make her return to Broadway with Little Shop of Horrors, playing the role of Audrey. [1]

On August 8, 2020, Liz married music producer Michael Corcoran at a private ceremony at the Inn at Fernbrook Farms in New Jersey. In attendance for her side of the family was her brother, parents, and two Grandmothers. Liz's father served as the minister have becoming ordained for the wedding. There were a total of ten guests at the ceremony and reception. After wearing so many extravagant wedding dresses on Dynasty, Liz opted for a simpler more classic design for her real dress. Their dog Bubba served as a ring bearer, with their other two dogs wore floral collars.[2]

The wedding was initially planned for April 25, 2020, her dog Otis' birthday, and would be held at the St. Regis in Atlanta including over 250 guests. It had to be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. While on The Zach Sang Show, Liz confirmed that she would not be changing her last name from Gillies to Corcoran - at least not professionally.

  • Gillies is a fan of Desperate Housewives, which her former co-star Nicollette Sheridan (Alexis Carrington) starred in for its first five seasons as Edie Britt. Coincidentally, Gillies caught up on the series in time for Sheridan's final appearance on the show.[3]
  • Liz is also a fan of The O.C and Gossip Girl, both worked on by Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz, who helped to develop Dynasty.[4][1]
  • Liz co-starred alongside Elaine Hendrix in the 2016 musical drama series, Sex, and Drugs and Rock and Roll in which she played Hendrix's stepdaughter. She has also worked with Robert Christopher Riley who co-starred on the first episode of the 2010 teen sitcom Victorious.
  • Starting in How Two-Faced Can You Get? until This Illness of Mine, Gillies is billed twice for her dual role of Fallon and Alexis.
    • The first time, as the lead cast member in the opening credits, and a second time as a guest star in the closing credits.

  • Liz wrote the song More Than Me for Fallon and Liam's wedding.
  • Gillies made her directorial debut with the eighteenth episode of the fourth season, "A Good Marriage in Every Sense".
  • Gillies met co-star Eliza Bennett (Amanda Carrington) for the first time in one of her favorite coffee shops, Brash in Buckhead, where she approached Bennett after she landed the role.[6][7]
