David Aron Damane is an American actor and writer who portrayed Leo Abbott in the fourth season of The CW's Dynasty.
Damane made his television debut on Cosby and is known for his roles in Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Chicago P.D., and Jett. In 2020, he was nominated for the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of J.J. Brown in Transport Group's Off-Broadway production of The Unsinkable Molly Brown.

In 1996, Damane made his television debut on Cosby, portraying the episodic role of Skip in "Tempus Lucas".
Damane portrayed two episodic roles in the Law & Order franchise, first as James Wilson in a 2001 episode, and again as DuShawn McGovern in a 2004 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Damane portrayed several recurring roles, including Maurice Owens on NBC's Chicago P.D. in 2014, Eddie McKay on Cinemax's Jett in 2019, and Leo Abbott on The CW's Dynasty in 2021.
Theatre[]
Damane made his Broadway debut in 1997, in The Life. In 1999, Damane portrayed Chingachgook in the Goodspeed Opera House musical Glimmerglass. Damane joined the cast of Broadway's Riverdance in 2000, and portrayed Isaiah in the Off-Broadway play Living in the Wind in 2001.
In 2002, Damane portrayed Jake in New York City Opera's Porgy and Bess, which was also televised on PBS's Live From Lincoln Center. In 2003, he returned to Broadway in the revival of the musical Big River, produced by Roundabout Theatre Company and Deaf West Theatre. Damane joined the national tour of the production as "Jim" for the remainder of its run, and won the 2005 Ovation Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Touring Musical.
In 2009, Damane joined the first national tour of the musical, The Color Purple. In 2011, Damane portrayed Joe in Goodspeed Opera House's Show Boat. He returned to Broadway in 2012 in the play Don't Dress for Dinner in the role of George. Damane played The General in The Book of Mormon on Broadway in 2012, and through 2016 in the Chicago company of the show.
In 2018, Damane returned to the New York stage as Husky Miller in Classic Stage Company's Carmen Jones, and received an AUDELCO Award nomination for Featured Actor in a Musical. Damane later earned a 2020 Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of J.J. Brown in Transport Group's The Unsinkable Molly Brown.
In 2021, Damane featured in the musical, A Turtle on a Fence Post.
