This article is about the real Cristal Flores. You may be looking for Celia Machado.

Cristal Carrington (previously Jennings; née Flores) is a main character on Dynasty. She was portrayed by Ana Brenda Contreras in the second season and recast with Daniella Alonso as of the third season onwards.

Cristal entered the Carrington's lives following the death of Celia Machado, whom Cristal was close with. She helped Blake cope and comes to terms with Celia's death and the part of her life she kept hidden. Through this, Cristal formed a bond with Blake that soon turned romantic. They were quickly engaged and he helped her assimilate to her new lifestyle. They married quickly after Blake was arrested to ensure that she would not be subpoenaed to testify against him. Their relationship was great in the beginning but, like everything in the Carrington world, lies and betrayal tore them apart.

Early Life

Daughter of Silvio Flores, Cristal grew up in a powerful and wealthy Mexican family that held great influence over her life. She married Mark Jennings, a professional soccer player for one of her family's teams, but after a falling out between Cristal's family and Mark, she was forbidden from being with him any longer. To get the point across, Mark was involved in an accident as well as framed for soccer match-fixing, resulting in him being banned from the soccer profession. ("Even Worms Can Procreate")

Cristal was patient at a hospital in Mexico when she met Celia Machado, a volunteer at the hospital. When Cristal heard about Celia's shortcomings in Venezuela, and her dream to come to America, Cristal gave Celia her identity so she could start a new life. Cristal thought her life was over and didn't think she would need her identity much longer. ("The Butler Did It") At an unknown point, Cristal moved to the United States and began working at a health and wellness center in Sedona, Arizona. ("Twenty-Three Skidoo")

Cristal is a kind-hearted woman with a soft demeanor. She wasn't interested in money when she came to Blake, and helped him cope with the death of his wife. She encouraged Blake to be the best version of himself and to stop having illegal activity. She felt for Sam and helped him cope with the loss of his Aunt. She believes in spiritual activities such as ghosts and psychics. Cristal played nice with Alexis, despite Alexis' racist remarks and rude attitude toward her.

However, the longer she was around the Carrington family, the harder she became. She began looking the other way and even partaking in the illegal activity that she once sought to stop. When Aleixs returned to the Manor, Cristal became jealous and schemed to expose Alexis for her treacherous behavior. During a murder-attempt that caused a horse-back riding accident, Cristal's ex-husband Mark Jennings was murdered and Cristal miscarried her child. She became jaded after the incident and was hell-bent on finding out what happened to her child and ex. She was heartbroken and spiraled into a pit of depression. When she walked in on Blake beating Nathan Macintosh, she turned her back and even helped to cover up his murder at the hands of Blake.

After Nathan Macintosh was proven innocent of murdering Mark and Cristal's unborn baby, she became hell-bent on finding out who did. When she found out Alexis was behind the murder, she wanted Alexis to pay the same price Mac did - death. Blake's refusal to harm Alexis or punish her in any form drove Cristal to take matters into her hands. She hired a hitman to murder Alexis, and when their plan failed, she recruited her brother to do the job. Despite her morals and religious beliefs, Cristal went through with her plan. However, Alexis wasn't harmed but Berto was. This lead Cristal to finally let go of some of her anger regarding the situation and try to become a better person.

Part of her redemption was opening a veterans clinic at Atlanta General. Her role quickly became complicated when she began to harbor reciprocated romantic feelings toward the hospital's priest. She had conflicted feelings about Collins, her loyalty and vows to Blake, and her religious beliefs as a Catholic woman. Upon discovering Blake's affair, Cristal gave in to her desires and cheated on Blake.

Cristal keeps tabs on Celia Machado following her marriage to billionaire Blake Carrington and subsequent murder. When the public discovers that Celia was using a stolen identity, many women start coming forward claiming to be the "real" Cristal Flores. Cristal's coworker jokes that she should step in and claim the stolen identity, unaware that she is, in fact, the real Cristal. ("Twenty-Three Skidoo")

She later went on to visit the Carrington Manor and was mistaken for a nurse, which allowed her to gain entry at the front gate. Once inside, she met with Blake, and explained that she knew Cristal before her death, then showing a photo of them together, revealing that Cristal Jennings knew Cristal Flores before her death even giving her own identity so that Celia would be able to move to the States when they met in a Mexican Hospital since Cristal thought she was going die at the time. However, she pulled through and lived. After this, she moved to Arizona and got a job at a spa. However, Blake buys the spa forcing Cristal to come back to Atlanta like Blake hoped she would since he wants to start a relationship with her.

Blake and Cristal's budding relationship results in a feud between Cristal and Blake's ex-wife, Alexis, who has been trying to win Blake back. ("Queen of Cups") Despite Alexis' attempts to win Blake back, he proposes marriage to Cristal on Thanksgiving. ("That Witch") Taking notice of Cristal's interest in soccer, Blake purchases a professional soccer team for Cristal as an engagement gift, planning for the two of them to run the team together. ("A Real Instinct for the Jugular")

Cristal later discovers that she's pregnant, but she's unsure who the father of the baby is due to having slept with her ex-husband during the brief time in which she was away from Carrington Manor. She decides to keep this a secret from Blake, who is ecstatic about having another child. ("A Champagne Mood") Thanks to Alexis' meddling, Blake learns that he might not be the father of Cristal's child. This causes a rift in their relationship, and add salt to the wound, Alexis invites Mark Jennings to the manor. ("Filthy Games")

Blake and Mark take a paternity state, Mark being allowed to stay at the manor as they wait for the results to come back, and Cristal struggles with the lingering feeling that she still has for her ex-husband. The paternity results come back and it's confirmed that Blake is the father. Before Mark leaves the manor, however, he goes on one final horseback ride with Cristal. Cristal asks Mark if he thinks she's making the right choice, choosing to be with Blake, but before he can reply, he's shot in the head. Cristal's horse, meanwhile, is startled, and she's dragged across the field. ("Even Worms Can Procreate") Cristal loses the baby and Alexis, the culprit behind Mark's murder and the loss of Cristal's child, comforts her in her time of grief. Alexis frames Blake's hitman, Mac, for the crime, and Cristal assists Blake in killing Mac and covering up his murder. ("Parisian Legend Has It...")

Cristal devotes more of her time to assisting Blake in the development of their co-owned soccer team, The Atlantix. With the help of her brother, Beto, she secures the stadium needed for their team. ("Motherly Overprotectiveness") Cristal's family wants more involvement in The Atlantix, insisting she bring a player of their choosing into her team, but she refuses to allow their corruption to expand into her aspiring business. ("Miserably Ungrateful Men") Cristal's attempts to keep Blake and her father away from one another incidentally puts them at war with one another. She finally invites her father to the manor where Blake and Silvio draw a truce, and they decide to get into business with one another. ("Life Is a Masquerade Party")

Blake and Cristal work together to get gambling legalized in Georgia, knowing it'll bring better business to The Atlantix, but Michael Culhane learns that they achieved this by bribing politicians. ("This Illness of Mine") Culhane gets Blake arrested thanks to a taped confession, and Cristal stands by Blake's side. ("New Lady in Town") Cristal objects to Blake's plan to frame her father for his crime, so she goes to the FBI. She seemingly did it to inform on Blake, but in actuality, she helped frame Culhane for illegal activity. She succeeds and Culhane is arrested. She and Blake secretly plan to get married, but Fallon crashes the wedding to confront Cristal for her lies and for the two of them framing an innocent man. As this goes down, however, divers discover two bodies in the lake, one of which is Mac's. ("Thicker Than Money", "Deception, Jealousy, and Lies")

In "Caution Never Won A War", Blake is arrested for the murder of Nathan Macintosh. Cristal marries him in a private ceremony and assumes control over the Carrington Dynasty in his absence.

In "A Wound That May Never Heal", Blake wakes up from a bad dream and notices that Cristal is standing by the fireplace. They talk about his nightmares and her anger toward Alexis. Blake refuses to deal with the Alexis situation as it would be a waste of their time and energy. He recommends that Cristal just ignore her. He won’t let Alexis ruin his momentum or the big day he has planned. He also has something special coming for Cristal. He wants her to let her anger go but she doesn’t want too and ends up burning her hand on the fire she was poking.

Later that day, she works with an alternative medicine woman to work on her breathing but it isn’t going well. She gets a massage from the woman who remarks on how much tensions Cristal is holding in her body. Uncomfortable, Cristal asks to try something else. The healer tries rock therapy but Cristal gets annoyed and claims it isn’t working.

The healer monitors Cristal’s heart rate as they go through a slideshow of potential triggers. She remains calm through the baby and horse picture, something the healer remarks is progress. Her heart rate spikes on a picture of Alexis and she grabs a bowl and smashes it. The healer exclaims that it’s time for Cristal to see a real therapist.

Cristal consults with a therapist who asks about her fighting Alexis in the lily pond because Alexis wrecked her car. Because of the boundary laws of patient-client privilege in Atlanta, Cristal claims that is the truth. She admits it bothered her more then other discrepancies is because Alexis didn’t just “wreck Cristal’s car” but blamed someone else and let him take the punishment. The therapist suggests adjusting her expectations for how people should treat her by starting with Alexis. The therapist thinks Cristal still needs something from Alexis and gives her a token to help channel her anger.

Cristal visits an exercising Alexis. They bicker but Cristal tells Alexis that she only came for an adult conversation as her therapist finds it imperative to her healing. Alexis retorts that Cristal leaving is imperative to her workout. Alexis claims she has no remorse for what she did and practice has helped her become callous. Which will be perfect for when hse destroys Cristal. Alexis throws a yoga ball at Cristal who dodges it calling Alexis insane. Alexis claims she doesn’t have to pretend to like Cristal now that the truth is out, and is invincible when it comes to Blake. Cristal thanks her for the chat and leaves.

At the Manor, Blake is thrilled by the increase in Blake Carrington Enterprises and fills Cristal in on his busy day. Cristal is upset and Blake claims that Fallon lies to make him look like a villain and he doesn’t feel bad about Corlent Media. Cristal comments that he might be a villain. He manipulates the emotions of others to serve his own selfish needs. Blake accuses her of being hostile and Cristal tells him about her visit to Alexis. She asks him that if he had known it was Alexis who was responsible for the death of their unborn child and not Mac if she would receive the same punishment Max did. Blake tries to deter the conversation and Cristal wishes she knew why Blake refuses to punish Alexis and leaves.

Cristal apologizes to Blake over a meal, as her therapist told her she is at risk for unleashing her anger on innocents. Blake admits to protecting Alexis and Cristal knows that Alexis will be in their life as she is the mother of Blake’s children. Cristal is ready to break the cycle of anger and they kiss. Blake admits he’s lost control of his life starting when he lost Carrington Atlantic. He wants the company back and plans to buy it back.

That night, during a phone call with her brother, Cristal orders a deadly hit on Alexis.

In "Battle Lines", Cristal arrives home early from her trip to Mexico to surprise Blake. They hug but the moment is quickly ruined when Dominique waltzes in and announces she’s moving into the manor.

In "You See Most Things in Terms of Black & White", an extraordinarily healthy breakfast is served at the Carrington Manor, courtesy of Dominique, who is doing a “heart-healthy diet”. Cristal wants to set house rules and Blake fills her on his deal with Dom. She will live in the manor for one-year, non-negotiable, but will also lay low in the East Wing. He adds an addendum that she is no longer allowed to speak to the kitchen staff. When Dom leaves, Cristal isn’t sure if she can handle Dom for an entire year. He praises Cristal’s ability to move past things, such as how she moved past the Alexis situation. Cristal leaves the table to take an important phone call.

Dom talks to Anders in the liquor cellar and asks for his advice on how to make Cristal like her more. He doesn’t trust her but she assures him there is no need for trust as she just wants to get to know her sister-in-law. She flirts with him and fills him on her secret crush towards him, and they flirt for a bit. Anders then suggests cooking roasted pork and they part ways.

Dom records Cristal’s entrance then explains the plan for the night. After the pork feast, they will have mani-pedis and waxes courtesy of the best beauticians. Dom is surprised when Cristal’s reaction is less than thrilled. Cristal tells her she’s allergic to pork and leaves to lie down, despite Dom’s efforts to get her to stay.

Dom confronts Anders about fooling her into thinking Cristal likes pork. Dom says she’s a fool for taking advice from such a loyal man. She takes some champagne to bring up to Cristal but stops under the staircase when Cristal leaves talking to a stranger on the phone about meeting up. Dom follows Cristal to a high-end hotel and witnesses Cristal meet with a man. Dom takes pictures of them embracing, thinking they’re having an affair.

In the room, Cristal gives the hitman the rest of the $20,000 she promised him and a picture of Alexis. She tells the man Alexis killed Cristal’s ex-lover, unborn child, and tried to put her husband in jail. The man tells her that this is the ultimate price to pay for Alexis’s crimes.

In "That Wicked Stepmother", Dom confronts Cristal in the hallway of the manor with footage she took of Cristal meeting with the hitman. She attempts to blackmail Cristal with what she believes to be an affair. Cristal quickly plays along. She claims to have ended the affair that night and asks what Dom wants in exchange for keeping it quiet. Dom is inviting Vanessa to live in the Manor and wants Cristal to welcome her with open arms. When Cristal agrees Dom promises to keep the situation between them.

That afternoon, Cristal meets with her hitman to discuss murdering Alexis while she’s at Fallon’s engagement party. He will plant a bomb under Alexis’ car that will detonate remotely. The explosion will be covered up as a faulty gas tank leak. He tells her that this is their last meeting. Cristal feels obligated to inform him of Dominique following her. He tells her the deal is off and no amount of money is worth him getting imprisoned. He takes the bag and leaves. She makes a phone call and asks the person when they can be in Atlanta.

Cristal meets with her brother to discuss killing Alexis. He tries to talk her out of it by saying murder isn’t who she is. He presses that Blake might be right about Alexis not being a problem. She has thought it through and will execute her plan with or without his help. He agrees to help her if this is what she needs to move on.

At Fallon's “Retying the Knot” party at La Mirage, Cristal congratulates Fallon on the engagement. Cristal tries to talk to her about things being weird between them since the trial. She apologizes for being unkind to her, saying that they were getting close at one point and Fallon deserves better especially since Alexis has done such awful things. Fallon comments on Alexis seemingly turning over a new leaf that might not be just a phase before walking off.

Cristal receives a text message from Roberto asking if Alexis has arrived yet. She approaches Blake and asks if he’s seen his ex-wife around but Blake assures her she doesn’t have to worry about Alexis. He warned her to stay away seeing as how difficult it has been for Cristal lately. He kisses her cheek and walks away.

At the Colby house, Cristal pays Alexis a surprise visit to reinvite her to the engagement party. Alexis thinks it’s too late to enjoy the party, but Cristal assures her there is still time. Alexis comments that the invite is very big of her, and there might be an ounce of decency on her veneer of Evil. She then excuses herself to get dressed. With Alexis gone, Cristal texts Roberto telling her their plan is back on.

Cristal texts with Roberto about their plans but is called away from her phone by a woman. Roberto sees two black SUV’s and doesn’t know which one is Alexis’s.

Mid-way through the couple's toast, a large bang is heard from the party that shakes the hotel. Fallon and Liam are shocked. Cristal gathers her belongings and hurries out of the room.

In the garage, a black SUV is in shambles, and the fire is everywhere. Car alarms are blaring. Cristal enters the parking garage and sees Alexis standing at her car staring at the explosion. Roberto, however, is on the ground unconscious with blood on his face.

At Atlanta General, Cristal sits with Roberto who has second-degree burns but will make a full recovery. The fire department cleaned up and left the scene with the incident being reported as an accident for now, but she worries they’ll get caught. He assures her that he was careful so they are safe. She apologizes but he tells her it’s okay but to thank Blake for putting him up in his hospital. Cristal admits that Blake doesn’t know as he had left early, but Blake won’t know if Cristal can help it.

In "She Cancelled...", Cristal and Father Collins discuss the Carrington Manor and she offers to give him a tour which he happily accepts. He flirts with her by moving her hair. She wants to get back to the work at hand but Collins has to leave.

Cristal and Father Collins discuss their roles in the clinic. She thinks he is better suited somewhere else, primarily due to his romantic feelings for her. Adam interrupts as he’s now the supervisor assigned to the planning for the fundraising gala. She suggests he be reassigned and should take time off since he just had major surgery. Adam assures her he’s fine and doesn’t want the assignment anymore then she does, but he has to use the gala to make things right with the board. Adam tells her that Father Collins is staying despite her claiming he wants to leave. The board is conservative and wants the gala to have both a community engagement component and a religious one so Collins is staying. Adam suggests they get to work.

At the Manor, Adam brings menu samplers to the manor for Cristal and Collins to taste. Collins continues to flirt with Cristal and make subtle remarks about them, which Adam doesn’t pick up on. As they are sipping champagne Blake notices the crowd and demands to know what Adam is doing at the manor. Cristal tells Blake that Adam is on the gala planning committee, which Blake believes is just another way to worm his way in after being banned. Adam wants to speak with Blake and Collins chimes in that he thinks Adam’s intentions are pure. Blake and Collins debate back and forth on religion and Adam’s intentions. Blake tells Adam to leave after the meeting.

Adam arrives at the clinic meeting late and Cristal tells him that Collins had somewhere else to be. Cristal angrily tells Adam that Caleb will be on the board by name only, and if Adam or the board doesn’t like it she would be happy to go to them and explain.

Adam arrives at the clinic meeting late and Cristal tells him that Collins had somewhere else to be. She angrily tells Adam that Caleb will be on the board by name only, and if Adam or the board doesn’t like it she would be happy to go to them and explain.

Caleb confronts Cristal about her making up a story to tell Adam as to why he didn't show at the meeting. Despite his objections to not flirting, she brings up everything that happened between them and he admits to having feelings for her. He kisses her and she returns the kiss. Adam angrily watches from the window as the pair makeout.
