Ada Stone to Michael Culhane[src] |
Ada Stone is a supporting character in The CW's Dynasty. She is portrayed by Katherine LaNasa.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Ada become a criminal mastermind to get revenge when her daughter was killed off. ("A Real Instinct for the Jugular")
Ada acquires a 2000-year-old black granite sarcophagus discovered 16 feet underground in Alexandria, fully sealed. How such a significant object managed to slip out of Egypt and into her possession, she considers to be an excellent question, but one thing she learned in business is that it is best to not ask questions. Ada has high-level consultants in many places and through Vance, someone who does consulting work for her while acting as Max Van Kirk's attorney, she acquires another valuable possession: the executed sale of Carrington Atlantic, the only copy Max signed before his untimely death. ("The Butler Did It")
Season 2[]
![]() A proposed bargain for the executed sale of Carrington Atlantic. ("The Butler Did It") |
Ada meets with Michael Culhane and offers to give him the executed contract if he gives her a million dollars. He has no interest in doing business with her, but when he changes his mind she insists on showing him something first: photographs of Michael paying off the escort hired to seduce Max at the time of his death. Ada reveals that she paid the escort double for her story, leverage that she now holds over Michael as she humors the idea of his fiancée, Fallon Carrington, going to prison for fraud or manslaughter. She tells Michael to keep his money, instead making him her new Atlanta consultant. If he says no, Ada will go public with the photos as well as the escort's testimony, the one that they "agreed on, with a few embellishments." She later calls Michael as he attends a Carrington baby shower and reminds him that he has put his fiancée's jeopardy at risk, proceeding to ask if he is ready to talk. ("The Butler Did It")
![]() Ada decides that Michael is going all in. ("Snowflakes in Hell") |
Ada calls Michael about a package she sent him: a briefcase with cash and an earpiece. She reveals that she got him into an underground billionaires poker game and that the cash should cover his buy-in; all he has to do is wear the earpiece. Later, Michael tests the earpiece and, throughout conversation with Fallon, inadvertently informs Ada of his job opportunity with Bentley, a big part of moving him and Fallon to New York. Michael arrives at the poker game and Ada has him find the game runner, Keith, who introduces "Mike Jones" to the rest of the players. Ada instructs that Michael find Keith's coded ledger and take photos of its contents, and to stay for the remainder of the game. The following morning, Ada gives Michael two minutes to make his exit without tipping off Keith. She panics when Michael nearly fails to make it out on time as he ensures Jeff Colby makes it out with him. Because Michael nearly blew her operation, Ada makes a call to a friend in a very high place and takes him out of the running for the job at Bentley; Michael works for her now, and he is going all in. ("Snowflakes in Hell")
