You Can't Hurry Love is a song performed by Sam Jones and Fallon Carrington, as hallucinated by Fallon while suffering exposure to a gas leak in her room. It was originally recorded by the Supremes for the 1966 album, The Supremes 'A Go-Go. Phil Collins later released a popular cover of the song in his 1982 album, Hello, I Must Be Going!.
The musical number takes place in Fallon's bedroom as she dwells over Liam's impending wedding Ashley, impatiently eager to reach out to him. Sam insists waiting, as they've already broken into his house twice. This advice manifests into Sam breaking out into song, and Fallon joins in to make it a duet. Upon conclusion, Fallon states that the Supremes were right. She elaborates further to a clearly confused Sam that they wrote the song, You Can't Hurry Love, that Sam just sang. Sam thought Phil Collins wrote the song, but corrects that he didn't sing. He asks Fallon if she is sure that she is okay, and she admits that she is not. ("Something Desperate")
